The Airdog X5 Air Purifier Wi-Fi Enabled Review – Will This Work For You?

Last updated: September 10, 2024 by Patrick Sinclair 2 Comments

Let’s face it, there are a lot of allergens and particles floating through the air in your home that can cause problems for you or your family. The reality is, you’d be surprised to discover just how many there are. No matter how thoroughly or how often you clean your home, there are always mites, germs, dust, and other hidden contaminants moving throughout your house with you knowing it.

But what is a person to do? Some people hire a cleaning service. Others spend hours constantly sanitizing their home. Another way you can protect yourself is by purchasing and using an air purifier. Unfortunately, many air purifiers on the market do little more than talk about how well they clean the air in your home. Knowing which ones you can trust can be a tricky proposition.

Fortunately, we’ve got one that does more than brag. It gets the job done. The Airdog X5 Air Purifier is a very popular purifier on the market right now. This talented air purifier will get rid of many of the nasty germs and allergens floating around you, and we’ll let you know whether or not it’s worth the money you’ll spend on it.

So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the Airdog X5 Air Purifier

Design

Can we speak candidly for a moment? We can? Good, because the truth is there just isn’t much in the way  design when it comes to the design of air purifiers. There’s just not much to say about them. It highly unlikely that any air purifier on the market can offer appealing aesthetics or amazing design. Consumers are looking for two things: functionality and quality.

So what can we say about the Airdog X5 Air Purifier? Well, it’s not as dismal and sad looking as some other purifiers, but it’s not going to win any awards either. The device stands roughly 2-feet tall and offers an easy to read display which sits on a sleek white surface. Overall, the Airdog X5 Air Purifier has a clean design that won’t be out of place in any room in your home.

If you look at the Airdog X5 straight on, the inlets are located toward the lower section of the device on both sides. This means it can draw in air from multiple angles from the point where dirt and debris are more likely to settle. Air travels up through the purifier, then exits from the top with a high-volume fan expelling the cleaned air.

That means that if you want the air in your room or home to be purified quickly, the X5 is the purifier you need. This device does all the heavy lifting for you and you get to enjoy in the benefits of clean air.

Cutting-Edge Technology

One great thing about the Airdog X5 Air Purifier is that it is stuffed to the brim with great features. Using the latest technologies available, the X5 goes above and beyond the vast majority of the other air purifiers currently on the market. For example, the X5 includes a companion application, available on iOS and Android, which allows you to control the purifier no matter where you are.

So now, after a long day at work, you can turn your air purifier on during the drive home, and arrive to a room full of nice, clean air. All you have to do is turn on the X5 and let it go to work. Additionally, the application gives you the ability to view air quality. That way, you’ll know how clear the air is before you enter a room.

Additionally, the X5 can remind you via the app to clean our your air filters. So, you no longer have to set reminders or guess when it might be time to clean out the filters. The Airdog X5 Air Purifier takes all the guesswork out of it and simply sends a notification right to your phone.

Multiple Operating Modes

The developers at Airdog have given their customers an air purifier that provides everyone the ability to be comfortable in their own homes. No matter what your needs, the Airdog X5 can meet them. With six different operating modes, this purifier aims to please. Additionally, the X5 has a sleep mode, four differing fan speed options, and an automated mode which will adjust itself based on the room’s current air quality.

System Filtration

Most of the air purifiers on the market make use of reusable HEPA filters for their filtration purposes. The Airdog X5, however, uses wind filtration technology to clean the air. With wind filtration, the X5 can clean smaller particles than a typical HEPA filtration system.

Wind filtration technology works on a multi-stage method which purifies even the tiniest contaminants from your air. The Airdog X5 wind filtration technology consists of five layers of material which trap many of the particles floating around in your air. With this method, the X5 boasts that it can eliminate up to 99.99% of the germs and bacteria in your air.

The X5 cleans the air through its multi-stage five layer method which filters contaminants through materials which progressively trap tinier and tinier particles. The key element as the X5 captures contaminants is the ionic field. This component applies electronic voltage to the material to dissipate electrons flowing through the air.

When these ions form, they attach to the contaminated particles, which in turn wind up either falling to the floor or being sucked into the air purifier, thus improving the quality of the air in the room.

In addition to cleaning out the vast majority of the contaminants in your air, the Airdog X5 also has reusable filters. Users can remove these filters from the purifier itself and pop them into the dishwasher to get them clean. Then pop them back into the purifier and you’re ready to go again. Airdog goes to great lengths to make the filters easily accessible and simple to use for its customers.

Functionality

From a functionality perspective, the Airdog X5 Air Purifier does is pretty solid. The X5 can clean up to a 300 square foot room in roughly 20 minutes. It’s quieter than a typical purifier that uses a HEPA filter and can clean down to particles as small as 14.6 nanometers. If you’re looking for a purifier that puts all the rest to shame, the Airdog X5 is the one you’re looking for.

Value

The Airdog X5 Air Purifier is a very pricey model in comparison to other purifiers on the market. However, you’re getting several high-quality features and functionality in exchange. With cleaner air, you may notice that your overall health begins to improve after a certain period of time. While it might cost you more up front to buy an Airdog X5, who can put a price tag on your health and well-being?

Specifications

Here’s a quick look at some of the specifications the Airdog X5 Air Purifier has to offer.

  • Weighs in at 22.5 pounds
  • 22.5” x 10.7” x 10.7” (HLW)
  • Power requirements – 100-240V~ 50-60Hz

Pros and Cons

Even the best devices have their fair share of disadvantages. The Airdog X5 Air Purifier is no exception. Here are some of the pros and cons of owning an Airdog X5 device.

Pros

  • Reusable air filter
  • Wind filtration technology
  • Dishwasher safe filters
  • Superior design compared to other air filters
  • Quiet when running
  • Auto-adjust to clean the room accordingly
  • Provides great companion app for both iOS and Android smartphones
  • Cleans up to 99.99% of contaminants in the air

Cons

  • More expensive than other air purifiers on the market
  • Bigger than other air purifiers

Final Thoughts on the Airdog X5 Air Purifier

If you’re looking for a high-quality air purifier, then look no further than the Airdog X5 Air Purifier.
Simply put, this device will get the job done. The X5 is one of, if not the best, air purifiers on the market. With the use of its innovative wind filtration technology, you’ll know your air is getting cleaner than it would if you were using a typical purifier with a HEPA filter.

The Airdog X5 is quieter than other purifiers as well. You don’t have to worry about replacing filters, as you just pop out the filters in the X5, clean them, then pop them back in when they get dirty. Additionally, with its wifi capabilities, you can control the X5 remotely, no matter where you are.

Unfortunately, all those features do require a larger container, which means the X5 is one of the larger air purifiers on the market. If your room already feels a little cramped, then you might want to reconsider purchasing an X5. The X5 is pretty pricey too, so if money is an issue, you may need to look elsewhere.

Overall, the Airdog X5 Air Purifier is a great device to have if you want to improve the air quality while removing allergens and contaminants throughout your home.
