How to Shop Smart Home Deals This Year

I’ve found over the last few years that finding the best smart home deals can be hard to find. Especially with low-quality brands crowding the market online, sifting through what ACTUALLY is a good deal isn’t as easy as looking at the percentage off markings!

One thing that I’ve noticed is thousands of “knock-offs” getting dumped on the market. While the quality brands are still heavily discounted, they can be HARD to find in the clutter of mediocre products. Here are a few tips I’ve come up with to help:

• Pay attention to brand name: if you don’t recognize the brand, it might not be worth taking a chance.
• Create a Wish List: Rather than being tempted by all the discounts, create a list of what you REALLY want and only buy when they go on sale.
• Don’t be afraid to buy: IF the deals hit your magic number. Anything over 15% off is generally a good deal, but the sweet spot is 25% or more.
• Don’t have Amazon Prime? Consider activating your 30-day Amazon Prime trial so that you get all the benefits, receive two-day shipping and get 30-minute early access to Lightning Deals!
• A deal is out of stock? Consider joining the waitlist for that item. Sometimes a shopper will add a deal to their cart but they don’t end up buying it. If that happens, you’ll be on the list to purchase it.
