Get Cooking! The Full June Intelligent Smart Oven Review

Last updated: September 17, 2024 by Patrick Sinclair Leave a Comment

Cooking used to be less of a science.  For most people, cooking is unpredictable.  You could be cooking a family recipe and have done it dozens of times before, yet you can never be sure if it is as good as the last time you cooked it. Now enter June Intelligent Oven, an oven that can take out the guesswork and cook your food exactly the way you want it.

June Intelligent Oven helps you cook the perfect meals every single time. The countertop convection oven is also very attractive.  It may look like a microwave, but it is made of high-quality materials.  It has a polished stainless steel interior and cold rolled steel exterior.  It comes in a metallic silver gray color.

While there are a lot of non-smart ovens right now that allow you to cook using presets and that make cooking easier, the June Intelligent Oven gives you a host of features that set it apart from earlier ovens.

It does, however, come with a hefty price tag.  It is up to you to decide if these added features are enough to justify its expensive price.

Features of the June Intelligent Oven

The June Intelligent Oven measures 12.8 inches high, 19.6 inches wide, and 19 inches deep.  It weighs 44 pounds.  It has a cubic foot cavity size and a tray that can accommodate a standard 9 x 13-inch baking sheet.

It can also accommodate dishes of up to 11 inches by 16 inches.   That means that it can accommodate your favorite food and cook it the way you want it.

Other features you would love in the June Intelligent Oven include:

Smart.  The June Intelligent Oven comes with a companion app that allows you to check on your food to see if it is done.  You can also get alerts on your smartphone when your food is already cooked.

You can cook a perfect meal even without getting up from the couch every now and then or without interrupting your favorite book or TV program.

Touch screen controls.  The smart oven has a five-inch touch screen that you can use to control your oven.  The display has HD resolutions of 720 x 1280 pixels and viewing angles of 160 degrees.  It is also backlit by LED lamps.

Carbon fiber heating elements.  This ensures that the heat is evenly distributed and that the over can heat or preheat faster.

Adaptive convection fans. The June Intelligent Oven uses two convection fans that adjust their speed to get rid of cold spots.  Cooking time is therefore faster: with the manufacturer claiming that you can cut 1/3 of your cooking time.

HD camera.  The June Intelligent Oven has a high-definition camera that allows it to “see” what you are cooking, and enables the oven to suggest the best way to cook whatever it is you put in there using the proprietary Food ID software.

What’s more, you no longer have to repeatedly open your oven door to see how the food is cooking because you can view everything on your smartphone.

Food thermometer.  The smart oven also comes with a built-in thermometer that could easily check whether your food is done cooking or not.

Safe and user-friendly.  The June Intelligent Oven was designed to make cooking fun and safe.  It uses advanced insulation materials so you do not get burned when you accidentally touch it, nor will it heat up your kitchen.

It also has a digital scale that you can use to weigh anything that you put into the oven.  After cooking, you will appreciate just how easy it is to clean the smart oven as you can remove both the crumb tray and the door panel.

The design of this smart oven also ensures that there will be no hard-to-reach areas so you can always pick up crumbs or wipe off drips.

Powerful.  The smart oven uses NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 2.3 GHz CPU and 192 NVIDIA CUDA GPU cores, giving it the same top processing power that a laptop delivers.  It also has 2 GB DDR3 1600MHz of RAM, which is similar to that of an Apple iPhone 6s.

Sensors.  Aside from the camera, the June Oven also uses weight sensors, a cavity temperature sensor, a core temperature probe, and an ambient light sensor.

What you would love about June Intelligent Oven

If cooking is not one of your special talents, then you would love how the June Intelligent Oven assists you.  You only have to put in the food and specify how you want it cooked and the oven will do it for you automatically.

In other words, the oven sets the temperature as well as specifies the cooking time, turns itself off, and notifies you on the mobile app when it is done.  If it needs the food thermometer to cook your food, it will tell you.

You can also see your food while it is being cooked, without having to open the oven.  Plus, you can cancel cooking just by tapping a button on the app.

However, it is the little extras that make the June Intelligent Oven really exceptional.  The oven stays cool even as it cooks, and it comes with pans that are also very easy to clean.  Add these to the fact that the June Intelligent Oven delivers on its promise of well-cooked food without the hassle.

If you want to wow your friends by treating them to a complicated meal, this oven can be your best friend.  It can handle difficult dishes quite well.

It goes without saying that with the June Intelligent Oven, you have a winner in your kitchen.

What could be better?

One of the most promoted features of the June Intelligent Oven is its Food ID feature, or its ability to identify what you are cooking and then suggest ways to best cook it.  How it accomplishes that is very simple.

For instance, if you put in a slab of meat inside the oven and close the door, the mobile app will ask you what type of meat it is.  All you need to do is to select the correct option and the mobile app will allow you to choose how you prefer to have that meat cooked.

However, while the oven can give you two options for what type of food you put in, you would still need to confirm which one it is you want to cook.  Also, for some food types, the oven may return an error that says, “Unfortunately, the chef has stopped,” which means that it cannot identify the food.

Hopefully, over-the-air updates in the feature will be able to correct this.  Also, the smart oven has close to 50 preset configurations that would help you cook the food that it does not recognize.

While the June Oven can handle lamb chops and other complex dishes and cook them to perfection, it seems to have problems with simple dishes such as PopTarts or toasted bread.

Final say

The June Intelligent Oven is a good addition to your kitchen.  This would be perfect for those people with less than savory cooking skills or those who want to have perfectly cooked meals.  Even if you currently have an oven, you will still want the June Intelligent Oven for its precise and speedy cooking.

You can toast, broil, roast, or bake using this smart oven and you could probably get rid of your microwave or toaster.  It has around 50 presets that can help you cook anything from pizza or pop corn.

The June Intelligent Oven’s price tag can really turn some people off. For the latest prices and discounts, check here, and it is not that perfect.  It does suffer from glitches, a trait that most first generation devices share.  The Food ID software also needs more food items to make it work better.  However, the company promises to improve on these and push it out automatically via over the air updates.

This makes the June Intelligent Oven a great product that gets better and better with time, and, as such, would prove to be a great investment.
